Seven U.S. Army soldiers, one Army Reserve soldier and two Veterans are representing Team USA at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which begins today.
The Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) is well-represented with both returning medalists and newcomers alike aiming for gold. Notably, AMU’s former member Vincent Hancock, a five-time Olympian, has a chance to make history.
If Hancock secures his fourth gold medal in Men’s Skeet, he will become the first shooter to win the same individual event four times and will join the ranks of Carl Lewis and Michael Phelps as one of only six athletes to achieve this milestone.
Here’s a look at the military and Veterans representing Team USA:

Marine Corps Veteran Keith Sanderson (Men’s Rapid-Fire Pistol) Army Staff Sgt. Will Hinton (Trapshooting) Army Staff Sgt. Rachel Tozier (Trapshooting) Army Sgt. Sagen Maddalena (Women’s 10m Air Rifle, Women’s 50m Smallbore) Army Sgt. Ivan Roe (Men’s 10m Air Rifle, Men’s 50m Three-Position) Army Veteran Vincent Hancock (Men’s Skeet)

Go Army. I’m proud to watch for your participation in the 2024 games.
It is good to see young military members both men and women representing not only the armed forces but the USA in the 2024 Olympics. You are doing what only a few could have dreamed of doing by first serving in the military and then participating in the 2024 Olympics . dw
