As we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this week alongside the Veterans we serve, it’s a perfect time to reflect on some of the many things that we’re thankful for every day at VA, including:

  • Our colleagues, who are the reason we can provide the care Veterans deserve.
  • Our innovators, who find new ways to provide life-changing care every day.
  • Our leaders, who empower us to succeed in our work.

But most importantly, we’re thankful to our Veterans.

At VA, we know that our world would be a very different place without Veterans, and it’s our daily goal to make sure that when they walk through our doors, they receive the care they need. Their sacrifices inspire and motivate us to deliver the best care, and to help them live healthy and prosperous lives.

To make that mission a reality, we’re recruiting the best and the brightest to VA, because your skills, talent and commitment are what make us successful in our service.

I love all of us vets. I cry on occasion when my wife and I visit DeBakey Hospital. Many funerals has given me the respect for our VET buddy’s and gals’s gone before us. I AM A BETTER American for those that gave all. Tommy Schmitt CW4 AVN….
