I’m 76 and enlisted in the Army for three years on Jan. 6, 1969. When I was young I was pretty active and weight was never an issue. Now that I’m old and not very active I’ve gained weight. Over the years I’ve worked out and done the no carb, high protein diets. They’re great and work, but take a while to activate. From my regular civilian doctors I revived prescriptions for Wegovy and Ozempic. The VA refused to fill either one because I’m not diabetic. The cost thru the VA for these inject able meds is $11 per month vs. $ 200 – $800 from a civilian pharm. To even be considered by the VA you have to enroll in a program called MOVE that lasts four months with a zoom call once a week. Basically, MOVE tells you to curb your food intake and exercise……duh!! Basically it’s just another program to screw vets. I suggested that vets who want to lose weight be weighed on the first of each month and be given the meds. If you don’t lose weight then you’re cut off. Guess that’s too logical. Maybe somebody at the VA will read this and see that it makes sense. I gave my country 3 years and now I want my country to do something for me. And lastly, it would be nice if vets had a dental program. Actually, I think honorably discharged vets should never ever have to pay for health care…NEVER. Cut foreign aid and spend the mony on the men and women for gave for our country. If President Trump knew about this I know in my heart he would do this. GOD BLESS AMERICAN
I could use a copy of my DD 214 also I wondering about Dental help.

I was refused for part of my disability two times is there anything I can do
I don’t bother with the VA – I was awarded disability that was taken away before I received any. I contributed in the ’70s/’80s to the educational savings but returning to school following discharge, wasn’t allowed to use it so I removed my portion. I sought counseling but was refused. I had a VA Home Loan but was not allowed to use that. I do have an honorable discharge. IOW, I don’t bother with the VA. It’s worthless. The government & the VA admin are a bunch of liars. I’m hoping war-time veterans are cared for more appropriately.
” IT’S EASY ” BULL SHIT. HOW ABOUT AN UMPIRE THAT AFTER LISTENING TO MY QUIESTION CAN DIRECT ME TO THE RIGHT ADDRESS?
