when is the va going to start hiring vets
I used to work for the Veteran Affairs in San Diego. What I saw alot were NON veterans being hired all the time to work in the hospital. These NON veterans had NO clue how to talk to veterans, not even to mention War veterans who have experienced so many horrible things and needed comfort, understanding, and compassion. As a veteran, I had to get myself involved in many situations and take over for these NON veterans because they were causing more aggravation than good when it came to my fellow vets.
HIRE VETERANS!!!!!!!!!
I’m a construction worker/ equipment operator/ laborer in the Columbia South Carolina area. These people act like they don’t care about veterans down here. I have good work references from previous employers and even coworkers, but find it hard to get work now that I’m 68 years old. I’ll be 69 January 5th and I can out work most of the kids nowadays and by kids I mean kids and their 30s and 40s, because they don’t want to work. I can operate skid loaders, front end loaders, forklifts, man lifts, compaction rollers plus some other equipment and still have a hard time finding work. I also enjoy hard physical labor because it keeps me in shape and most of the lazy kids nowadays don’t want to do hard physical labor. I saw an ad on Craigslist that was in all Spanish for work on Fort Jackson and was wondering how can non English speaking people get on the Fort to work. Why don’t they have an ad in English on Craigslist, because then you would be getting veterans to work on the post. I’ve been trying to find out what is going on at Fort Jackson where they need only Spanish speaking employees working. That doesn’t make any sense with this current administration because we now have a president that is trying to take care of Americans and veterans instead of illegal aliens. Can you find out what’s going on at Fort Jackson and why they aren’t having these companies hiring veterans to work on Post?
Hello. I am a veteran here in the San Diego, CA area and I see the same exact thing! So much advertising for Spanish speaking ONLY. WHY are we hiring for this on base? I don’t see Veterans FIRST any longer whatsoever.
