VA teamed up with Metropolis-GAMEDAY to give thousands of local Veterans and their families free access to the Super Bowl Experience on Feb. 4, 2026, at the Moscone Center, just down the road from Levi’s Stadium, which hosted Super Bowl LX.
At the downtown venue, attendees enjoyed immersive exhibits amid a transformed convention entrance. Attendees were greeted by large displays of all 32 NFL team helmets, team banners illuminated by stadium-style spotlights, interactive zones carpeted in artificial turf where fans sprinted in the 40-yard dash against virtual projections of NFL stars, their times flashing on overhead screens. Youth dove into flag football clinics, dodging cones and tossing spirals, while lines formed for autograph sessions with NFL legends. Photo ops were just about everywhere, from selfies with oversized inflatables to close-up views of the Vince Lombardi Trophy, plus a memorabilia hall showcasing all 59 Super Bowl rings in glass cases, each a piece of gridiron history.
VA emailed more than 11,000 Veterans within driving distance to help spread the word about free tickets; San Francisco County alone has over 24,000 Veterans. Nearly 5,000 opened the message, and social media helped spread it further.
Metropolis-GAMEDAY, an NFL-affiliated group that handles parking, transportation, mobility services and staffing at league events, took it a step further by offering free tickets and donating leftover supplies, including bottled water, Gatorade, sodas, boxed lunches and clothing items. The items went to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 77 in Fremont, Calif., where VA has strong, ongoing ties with both groups.
Enrique Ramos, DAV California’s director of operations, helped coordinate the delivery and attended the Super Bowl Experience with other Bay Area members.
“Everyone had a blast,” he said. “Events like this remind our Veterans they’re honored—and they deserve it.”
