Driven by a commitment to those who served, VA has announced the winners of the 2025 Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Patient Experience (PX) Awards, honoring VA medical centers and health care systems nationwide that deliver exceptional, Veteran‑centered care. These top‑performing facilities set the standard for putting Veterans first by building trust, improving access and consistently providing outstanding patient experiences.
VA honored six facilities for excellence across key PX categories based on feedback directly from Veterans regarding trust, communication, access, emotional support, care coordination and overall satisfaction.

Honoring teams that put Veterans first
The 2025 PX Awards winners achieved high rankings by consistently demonstrating excellence and implementing ongoing improvements designed to meet the needs and expectations of Veterans and their families. Notably, patient experience scores account for 22% of the overall Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Star Ratings.
“The way we treat Veterans today is the reason they will Choose VA tomorrow,” said Chief Veterans Experience Officer Lynda Davis, Ph.D. “These award‑winning teams have embraced that commitment, championing innovations and practices that put Veterans first to receive the care they have earned.”
The annual VHA PX Awards celebrate the efforts of VA employees, volunteers and health care teams who deliver high‑quality experiences across facilities nationwide. Their dedication ensures Veterans and their families can rely on VA for consistent, compassionate and accessible care.

Shout out to the VA Medical Center in Iowa City!!! I know they didn’t win an award, but I’ve always received first class service and respect from every staff member (and volunteers).
I know who the worst VA is, give that honor to the real scumbags at White City VA, White City, Oregon. They tell Veterans “go buy your drugs in the streets!” I’ve never seen such disrespectful people in my entire life. So much I won’t step foot in another VA anything. To allow their staff to get away with it says only one thing it’s nasty all the way up then. Congratulations White City VA you’re at the top of the dung pile and ruining veterans lives, be proud of your work. Now go pack sand & kick rocks.
No mention of Sonny Montgomery VA in Jackson, MS. There is much needed work to be done when it comes to patient care and the overall treatment of veterans.
I have been extremely pleased with our new VA Clinic in New Port Richey, Florida. If they added a Dermatology Department, I would rate it as one of the greatest.
Madison V A is the Best of the Best !

Well, I lived in Pa & NJ and now Florida and Pa doesn’t hold a candle to the Lake Nona VA medical canter. However, I am glad some feel the Pa ones are so good.
The Omaha NE VA Medical care is excellent for me. They provide full, caring, compassionate service. Doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers are all cheerful, encouraging and skilled. Appointment wait times are reasonable. I am blessed to have them!
