I have tried to ask specific questions to my urologist through the email system. The team acknowledges the question but the doctor or resident has yet to reply. The system can only work if it used as designed.

Have had massive strokes and can’t do the things the way you you have it set up now, please make it easier so we can get all the same results. We had before on the original, my healthy vet.

  16. Glenn Crowder August 11, 2026 at 15:43

Please name the apps you are referring to. Recently, we have bounced around for different issues, from my health app to the .gov app. It gets confusing. I am currently using the VA app provided by Apple. Is that what this article is talking about, or the .gov one?

  17. Rob B. August 11, 2026 at 14:33

Used to be a decent site even with some complicated login requirements. More recently they’ve made it next to impossible to get on, requiring some 12- digit entry code that you’re prompted to SAVE in a secure place to log in for the future.
Then they move the goal post again, replying that the Saved code isn’t accepted !!!! Now they tell you to start the process ALL OVER , resubmitting your photo ID & jump through more hoops. I’m still pretty sharp at my age & reasonably computer savvy, but the process they’re now putting us through is absolutely ridiculous & frustrating as hell.
Sorry….. but this is BS. I have better things to do with my time at my age.

  18. Joe R Ybanez August 11, 2026 at 14:07

I don’t know what is going on with the VA system. I have had to live with injuries that were never properly diagnosed properly that have kept me from a normal life. I am now so unwell now that I have had to deal with people who defied my doctors orders for equipment that I have needed to get only to refused for the very equipment that I needed to get around to be secure in my ability to be safe. Also I had to wait for months for to get the equipment services that I needed to be able to try and live a normal lifestyle without constant stress from pain. So I’m still waiting for the proper help for my feet that were damaged by a fire training session that left me with permanent damage, constant pain that keeps me from being able stand up. And I was never seen by specialists who deal with the injuries from the fire. In order for me to be able go anywhere I need to use an electric wheelchair and that sometimes comes up short. I have around eight service connected injuries were never looked into. Just doing this entry is causing nerve issues though out upper spine pain.

Better than nothing, too high tech for someone my age

  20. Don Cates August 11, 2026 at 13:35

It’s been a long time coming but this seems to be a GOOD improvement. It should help all of us veterans in keeping in touch and learning about changes.
Looking forward to the NEXT update.
    Keep up the good work.

  21. Corry Hildenbrand August 11, 2026 at 11:50

    Great service from the VA

  22. John Surr August 11, 2026 at 11:25

It would be helpful if the VA would allowing sharing with other health care providers .
This would be very helpful for all

  23. Virginia Cocayne August 11, 2026 at 11:16

More is put in your tech stuff than patient care

  24. ALLAN S. LIND August 11, 2026 at 11:11

I AM AN 82 YO 100% DISABLED VETERAN. I HAVE A LOT OF DIFFICULTY WITH ALL THIS TECH STUFF, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO MOBILE PHONES. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO MY PRIVATE PROVIDER TO GET BLOOD WORK DONE BECAUSE IT TAKES 3 MONTHS TO GET MY LAB RESULTS FROM THE VA. I NEED THOSE RESULTS SOONER TO GIVE TO MY PRIVATE PHYSICIANS. WHY NOT MAKE THEM AVAILABLE ASAP ON THE INTERNET WEBSITE FOR MY E-MAIL? YOU CAN INSTITUTE ALL KINDS OF SECURITY PROCEDURES LIKE OTHER INSTITUTIONS. IN OTHER WORDS, MAKE MY INFORMATION MORE AVAILABLE WITHOUT ALL THE TECH HOOPLA ………PLEASE!

  25. Danny Tukes August 11, 2026 at 10:47

Thank you, I luv this site.

  26. Walentin Kostenko August 11, 2026 at 10:40

Should be a link to download the app.
How is the app any different than accessing VA online?

  27. Bo Dodson August 11, 2026 at 08:18

I love this this information tells you exactly what you need. The app is just great.?????????

  28. Albert Pryor August 11, 2026 at 07:45

How do I get the mobil app?

      Great service fro the VA

  29. Richard Diamond August 11, 2026 at 07:38

I’ve been using my healthy bet for many years now. Changes have been made recently and I find it much more difficult to access and when inside more difficult maneuvering around. You should have just left well enough alone. Disappointed with the changes

  30. ERICK August 11, 2026 at 07:34

Please add an option for communication to be secure messaging. The VA has spent money on using secure messaging and advertising it but when a patient just solely wants to use secure messaging they can’t because a certain department “doesn’t use that” which makes no sense. Some veterans (like myself) work in areas where cell phone coverage is not available due to cement walls etc. I have asked numerous of times to please send an email/secure message to communicate with me and I end up missing appointments and rescheduling them because of the communication problem with the VA

  31. ERICK August 11, 2026 at 07:31

Please make a section where you can cancel appointments. Going through the call system serves no purpose when this person can’t cancel your appointment because you have to talk to this person who is not the person your suppose to talk to because you were transferred to the wrong person and then when you finally get ahold of the the person you leave a message and they don’t get back to you even though you called in a timely manner to cancel an appointment.

  33. Arlyn Randal Cook August 8, 2026 at 18:23

Hello! I’m just wondering why veterans don’t get dental care afforded to them? We really need it and want it! It’s really too expensive and I have a really hard time affording it and I know most veterans think the same thing!

    • Robert A Smith August 11, 2026 at 07:43

A tenth of the recovered fraud funds cold cover dental for all veterans. We could all be issued a dental card to be used at community dental health providers.

    • Wayne Benton August 11, 2026 at 07:46

I find the VA Health Benefits app to be very effective for me it helps me on all areas of my Healthcare. Thanks

    • Robert Garay August 11, 2026 at 09:48

100 % dental work is always an issue and expensive i can’t afforded.

  34. Charles Cope July 30, 2026 at 17:48

Only works for those with special phones. Does not help many with no special phones. Lebanon Va says no special phone no using program. Sad day for many veterans

Freedom of Speech at Veterans Affairs!
    https://www.change.org/p/freedom-of-speech-at-veterans-affairs

VA online services terms of use, Version: 1, Last updated: March 2024 clearly violates the First Amendment, 38 CFR 17.33(g)-(i), Executive Order 13891 of October 9, 2019, and Executive Order 14149 of January 20, 2025!

  36. Kirt Love July 28, 2026 at 10:10

Sec of VA Doug Collins silently received a RIF from House and Senate members
over Gulf War presumption law 3.317. Only problem is this isnt a united effort
of the service groups. Its one lone VSO by the name of Ron Brown who believes
he can out wit the Sec of VA and his staff. If anything, he is on a VA RAC advisory
committee practicing the same game of excluding public comments from the
meetings. He feels he is the only one that has anything to add.

There are others like myself working this far before this point, when I served on
a VA advisory committee for GWI healthcare and benefits in 2008. Where I argued
with VA leadership over the title and content of 3.317. Only to have VA bury our
final report and pretend we never existed. The ACGWV.

Gulf war vets had trouble being treated fairly back in the 90s and 2000s when DOD
and VA did listen. VA subverted the very nature of PL 105-368 so that it failed us.
As it made recommendations that 13 Sec of VA ignored over 24 years. This is one
of many laws Im trying to get amended no thanks to Congress. Staffers, Ugh.

3.317 completely failed. 93% rejection rate even right now. Its based on the UDX
clause of undiagnosed. Nothing in VA is undiagnosed any more. Just incorrectly.
The launder list is of no value. Even for me it failed. I had to go another route. Which
is why I stayed by this issue. In the end the whole thing needs to be scrapped and
simplified to date and time served. As its all a given now. Especially cancers.

So Sec of VA Doug Collins plans to meet in private with a VA / DOD puppet to
represent all 697,280 Gulf war vets. Ive been saying hell no based on Mr Browns
track record of subversion and self interest. He spent all his time on research
and not even that. Making sure that my comments were never posted for others
to see. As he does not hold up under scrutiny.

When I worked issues back in 2000, I walked over to the service groups offices
in DC to coordinate. I have plenty of photos, records, video and such of it. We
even wrote a joint letter to Sec of Defense. There were 33 groups back then. Until
certain people set out to drive others off.

DSBR is recognized or was buy VA and DOD. This makes this discrimination that
Im being excluded after requesting to attend. Im a subject matter expert having
learned the hard way over 28 years, Which is how I served on a healthcare and
benefits committee. I have not received cordial treatment from VA since 2020.
Even after confronting Sec of VA Dennis McDonould in DC.

I very much know what is wrong with 3.317 since we tried to amend it several
times with Congress. Was always the laundry list, never the buzz word – undiagnosed.
    Keeping this status quo.

As long as DOW and VA keep meeting in secret with certain parties – its with the express
desire to keep things private. To let mistakes happen. Let it ride. Which is a insult
to those that fight for real change and dont see it.

  37. John Juntunen July 27, 2026 at 22:51

Great benefit, but totally worthless with the crazy logon and re-logon requirements. This APP is for 70-90 year old Veterans, did any one tell the security designers this key requirement. My guess is NO. First step in designing an app for 70-90 year old veterans, should be: ease of use…FAIL.
Your ID.me and Login.gov literally SUCK. Many veterans in the age group have a hard time remembering what they had for lunch and you want them to remember the VA app password and the ID.me or the Login.gov password also. And did I mention if you forget your password because the APP logged you out, you have to provide your pass word, Drivers license even if you don’t have one and who knows what else.

I can log on to my bank and investment account with facial recognition or password saved on my Apple phone. Wakeup ….your APP well the login SUCKS.

I no longer have access to My Healthy Vet. I do not have a smart phone so how will this help us Vet that do not have access to all this useless information. Make it were all of us can use it.

  39. George Schmall July 23, 2026 at 16:15

I am very pleased with the VA care, but in trying to sign to “My Healthy Vet” the new sign feature is a nightmare! It won’t send text codes that work; I am not willing to create selfie or use my fingerprint and I have no idea regarding the recovery methods!
I thought the system was being designed to be user friendly, but apparently not…
For now I am locked out of “My Healthy Vet” and that’s disappointing!!!

  40. PF SOUZA July 23, 2026 at 11:52

I’m very pleased with the VA health and benefits application.
It offers the speed and efficiency I’ve come to expect. TY

  41. John Tabaka July 23, 2026 at 10:40

What if the Veteran has a disability that prevents him from using any touchtone device which includes cellphones required to use this app. What if I choose not to use tech since I know it is not in my best interest to do so.

  42. Darrel July 23, 2026 at 06:32

Doesn’t work with care in the community Appointments. Travel or listings.

  43. George f mack July 23, 2026 at 06:11

How does one get this new app that you all have out here right now?I might be a senior citizen, but i’m more interested in knowing more about it.And how I can download it

    • Chief Doug H. July 26, 2026 at 22:24

Mr. Mack, You need to click either on the Apple App Store if you have an iPhone or Google Play Store if you have an android links above in order to download the App.

  44. Anon-Cyber-VAPatient July 22, 2026 at 23:55

Does Windows EHealth site have same access to all the same data as on Vet Ehealth Mobile App? Does EHealth Mobile App require access to things such as browser cookies, history, cell phone location /history, email, contacts, data in local storage? If so – for what purpose and can settings for EHealth data collection be limited by cell phone end-user?

  45. Kenneth Bethea July 22, 2026 at 20:47

Very good information for all Veterans.

    • John Leo Blackburn, Jr. July 23, 2026 at 13:34

      What’s the good information?

  46. Wayne Crowder. Vietnam Vet July 22, 2026 at 20:44

Banking closed. Due to charge. Disputes…also froze income auto deposits! How do I cget benefits back into financial facility?

    • Carolyn Smith July 23, 2026 at 11:04

Can you call the customer service line for assistance? 1-800-827-1000. They should be able to help change your automatic deposit info

  47. Barry Bonk July 22, 2026 at 19:29

I have the app and I think it’s great. My problem and concern is that it doesn’t have a LOGOUT when I’m done looking or reviewing my data. That is asking for trouble. It eventually logs itself out but I have always been very cautious and don’t know why it’s not available.

    • Carl July 23, 2026 at 11:51

go to profile on home page then click on settings then click on sign out then click on sign on sign out at the bottom of page

      • John Leo Blackburn, Jr. July 23, 2026 at 13:36

Why do you make that so complicated?

  48. Robert Martin July 22, 2026 at 18:44

    Nice addition.
A list of my currently prescribed meds would be awesome.

    • John Leo Blackburn, Jr. July 23, 2026 at 13:30

A list of currently prescribed medicines!

  49. Wanda Gail Comer Mahan July 20, 2026 at 07:36

Love the VA app especially for immediate Lab results without having to wait for Correspondence in the mail!!

  50. Ricky Willis July 19, 2026 at 12:28

I love the upgrading they have done for Veterans.

  51. Christopher Smith July 18, 2026 at 12:30

You also need to go to your nearest VA hospital to the registration desk and present your ID to be verified so you can unlock all the features avalible on the App.

  52. Margaret Colon, MLS July 18, 2026 at 09:45

The Library Service in VACHS San Juan, assist daily the Veterans to have the Id.me or Login.gov account. The first step is have the VA app in the cellphones. In the last year we complete over one thousand accounts!

    • Richard Fischer July 22, 2026 at 22:10

Since this for my phone anyway, maybe make it easier the see. Please.
