Here at VA, we consistently plan ways to innovate and improve the level of service we provide to the over 9 million Veterans who rely on us for their health care. Our VA health executives play an integral role in shaping these plans, spearheading the delivery of integrated care to a diverse population of Veterans.

The question is: Are you ready to lead care delivery for the nation’s heroes in your community?

Licensed physician/dental officers and health system administrators prepared for this challenge are invited to apply for open positions in six cities: Battle Creek, Michigan; Cincinnati, Ohio; Martinsburg, West Virginia; Montgomery, Alabama; Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and Tomah, Wisconsin.

As VA Medical Center executive directors, you help lead thousands of clinicians, nurses, mental health professionals, medical technicians and support staff who carry out VA’s mission with honor and integrity.

“Since its inception, VA has led health care innovation, including establishing its comprehensive electronic health record and patient-centered primary care model,” said Darren Sherrard, associate director of recruitment and marketing at VA. “As part of our executive team, you’ll lead a whole-health revolution to meet Veterans’ overall health and life goals within and beyond the walls of the medical center.”

VA PROPOSAL FOR PRIVATE CONTRACTOR CRISIS INTUBATOR
Intubations are done by VA physicians. The intubating physician is usually only inches away from Cov19 patient who is breathing virus upon them . These VA physicians are critical to US health care delivery. Death or illness of these physicians is demoralizing to medical staff. As employees of VA these physicians’ medical disability long term disability expenses and sick leave are responsibility of VA. Air born spread of virus inhaled to type 2 pneumocyte creates risk of pneumonia and ARDS. Protect you staff and your budget.
Get me as a private contractor to stay on-site to do intubations. I only want to do intubations. I only authorization to intubate. I am like a private plumber or air conditioning specialist. I want to take a call room onsite on same floor as the ICU or ER. I own my own positive pressure hood and HEPA 13 filter. I am available to respond within minutes to perform intubation in New York VA . I do not consume PPE of the hospital because I have my own PPE. I even have my own ozone sterilizer.
I am willing to provide private contractor intubation services at the busiest VA hospital in US. I assume that would be in or around New York City. I have performed intubations as ER physician since 1988. I was credentialed at Oklahoma VA. I do not want nor need medical record access. A simple intubation procedure worksheet that can be scanned is adequate. I am licensed in Alabama and Georgia. If this sounds attractive I am scheduled in Troy Alabama through April. However, I prefer to be where I can intubate the most people per week. The needs of many veterans outweigh the needs of Troy ER. I am available for immediate service. I know numerous other physicians who will consider going to hard-hit VA centers. My illness, disability, or potential death is not a liability for VA.
    Protect your medical staff.
    Help me help you.

I am a sem-retired Vice President of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, former
CEO of large charitable and nonprofit service organizations. And a
Vietnam service vet. How would I apply for an admin position at the Battle Creek VAMC?
