A red poppy from the American Legion Auxiliary reminds Americans to keep alive the memories of those who served, especially on Memorial Day.

Like the other events offered through the National Veterans Sports Programs & Special Events Office, this year the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival has gone virtual. The “National Veterans Creative Arts Festival at Home” was held November 30 through December 4.

You’re invited to participate in a virtual Art Workshop as part of the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival at Home. Limited to first 3,000 who dare to be creative and build their masterpieces.

VA works with national, online and community partners to build stronger support networks for Veterans, their families, caregivers and survivors. The American Legion Auxiliary helps Veterans find gifts for their caregivers at Columbia VA Health Care System. Volunteers do all the shopping and wrapping…their annual “Thank you!”

The festival is hosted by VA's Western New York Healthcare System and will culminate with an art and writing exhibition and stage show performance on Oct. 29.
