When William Ford arrived at Shreveport VA Medical Center in October 2018, he was homeless and ill. Everything he owned could be packed into two bags. Today, thanks to VA, he’s healthy and hopeful.

Veteran Anthony Brown was homeless when he lost both feet to frostbite. Today, after two years of treatment, Brown is ready to leave Coatesville VA Medical Center VA to live in the community.

Veterans who have been arrested and incarcerated are at high risk of homelessness and suicide. VA programs help them readjust after involvement with the justice system.

More than 40 Veterans attended a unique event in June as a large team of recruiters from Google descended upon the VA Palo Alto’s Menlo Park campus to help share their knowledge and train Veterans in critical job seeking skills.

Ryan Ockomon will graduate from the compensated work therapy program in April 2017 and is hoping to obtain permanent employment at the VA. The vehicle, donated by the Daisy Mountain Veterans, will provide Ockoman with dependable work transportation.
