Tiffany Pham spent summers at VA as a student volunteer. “Such a great experience to have the opportunity to work in a professional environment.” She’s off to college with a $100,000 scholarship.

Volunteers are returning to national cemeteries under certain circumstances, following strict COVID-19 guidance. More than 40 volunteers displayed the new policies during an event Sept. 19 at Culpeper National Cemetery in Virginia. A group from a local Latter-day Saints church cleaned headstones while wearing masks and practicing social distancing.

VA volunteer Barbara Abbey was named the winner of a national AARP contest saluting Volunteers across America. Working Monday through Friday, she has volunteered over 1,000 hours so far this year.

VA and the Department of Agriculture host the annual Feds Feed Families Food Drive and in Texas, of course, they did it big! Healthy food for over 1000 Veterans and their families. In 100-degree heat!

WWII Veteran, Helen Glass, has been serving Veterans for most of her life, starting by volunteering with her WWI Veteran father, and continuing today.

Volunteering at VA is a family tradition for Jacqueline Reeves; her grandmother and great-grandmother have volunteered for more than two decades, and all three can routinely be found at VA on the same day.
