Well, no revved motorcycle parade around campus this year… but the presents still got delivered. Columbia VA’s annual Vet’s Christmas Charity Ride had to be revised this year to help local Veterans.

VA Fisher House Team is busy making some holiday magic for our Veterans and their families with a little extra pixie dust… providing holiday gifts and meals for guests over the next couple of weeks.

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System partnered with the Pima County Health Department on December 4 for a tele-town hall to provide updates on the current COVID-19 surge within Pima County.

Twenty-five Veteran families received baby essentials, clothes, car seats and bedding. Community donors helped to make the third annual baby shower possible, this year a drive-thru event.

Zero to Three offers free resources to help Veteran and military families raising children. With their tools, you can help kids grow strong physically, cognitively and emotionally.

A home away from home, there are currently 44 Fisher Houses located at 37 VA facilities. In 2019, VA Fisher Houses accommodated over 30,712 families, saving them over $20 million dollars.

VA researchers are hoping to improve the experience of parents who are caregivers for their adult children who have served in the military and are battling severe physical or mental injuries.
