The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Veterans Court it helped establish.

As part of ongoing efforts to review VA facility operations and explore partnership opportunities, Acting VA Secretary Peter O’Rourke made several stops in Tennessee on Wednesday, June 27. 

A dad and son embrace; both are sobbing. Two years earlier they were barely speaking. There is not a dry eye in the courtroom. “There is no other day quite like graduation day in Veterans Court. This is the pay off.” says Amy Earle, Veterans Justice Outreach Coordinator.

"‎These programs are a perfect example of communities coming together to serve Veterans in a holistic way with VA care as a vital component," said VA Secretary Bob McDonald.
