The Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) enriches the lives of Veterans and their families through the sportsmanship and camaraderie of golf. If you’re looking to make new military friends while also experiencing the thrill of competition, consider joining the VGA.

Golfing with purpose

At the VGA, we truly believe that golf is more than just a game. Annually, the VGA hosts more than 1,500 competitive golf tournaments for more than 25,000 Veterans and their families of all skill levels. Our mission goes beyond just golfing; we use golf as a platform to help reestablish the fellowship and support that Veterans shared while serving in uniform. Please take a moment to watch our impact video.

Building fellowship and finding victory

After our tournaments, VGA golfers gather to share stories and enjoy fellowship amongst other Veterans and family members. Through these experiences, the VGA helps combat loneliness, depression and, ultimately, Veteran suicide through the game of golf. Through a nationwide network of volunteer leaders, the VGA hosts thousands of tournaments a year, providing numerous opportunities for Veterans and families to engage in recreational outdoor golfing activities.

2024 VGA National Championship

Each summer, thousands of VGA members compete in our state and regional championships to qualify for our national championship each fall, which is free for all participants that qualify. Our 2024 VGA National Championship is being hosted at the world renowned Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC, from Sept. 15-18, and includes four nights of lodging, three rounds of golf, and food & beverage for all participants. This three-day, PGA Tour level experience will include 95 participants who advanced from four regional qualifiers, and 40+ state championships from around the country. We hope to see all of you in Greensboro this fall!

Why am I getting this in a promotional email from the VA? Don’t they read comments?

VGA leadership gets “volunteers” to donate their time and money with minimal reimbursement. Recently they held a qualifier for Senior Championships and charged $249 for a course that charged $55 per day. Where did the other $139 per player go? That was frauding 105 veteran golfers. Stay away. They donate less than 15K a year to veterans organizations. All funds go to the CEO and his lifestyle.

The VGA is not a Veteran friendly organization. It’s a pay fo play scheme that only benefits an inner circle of Veterans and few get to play in the big events. The CEO Army Josh is a hot head, and is only looking out for himself, and not his members. Stay away from the VGA,.not worth your money and time

Having experienced firsthand the level of corruption associated with Josh and the VGA, I cannot recommend this to anyone. Under the guise of “helping veterans” they scam members out of money, nickel and dimeing them at every turn. Stay FAR FAR away!

All though there aren’t too many options to join a veterans golf league, do yourself a favor and don’t join this one. It is ran by a guy that claims to be a West Point grad (he was kicked out), and calls himself an Army Ranger. He’s hired a walking heart attack to Dr is books too. They only use your money to improve their lives, never yours.

This organization is a fraud. They take veterans money and in no way do they give back to the veteran community. Do not support another shady veteran organization.
