In a promising sign, Veteran unemployment continues to track below the national average. More and more Veterans are leaving the service and finding meaningful work, and others looking for work have benefited from private and public sector collaboration.
But there’s a lot more we can and should do. Many out of work Veterans have the skills to succeed, if only they have the opportunity to match. One of the heavy lifters on Veteran employment initiatives is the US Chamber of Commerce, whose Hiring our Heroes events have netted 20,000 jobs for Veterans across the country. And their hard work is just beginning.
If you’re looking for a new job or a new career, check out hiring events through September below. If you don’t see any near you, check out this map for events through next year.
