- Identifying opportunities in business.
- Understanding markets and competitive space.
- Building your economic model.
- Legal entity structuring and insurance.

- Virtual-live sessions will be held via Zoom (link to be provided to you by email within 2-3 business days of registration—please check your spam folder).
The course is offered by Warrior Rising as part of its SDVET Program, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and is free to all verified service-disabled Veterans (including Guard or Reserve). Attendees may be located anywhere throughout the U.S.
For verification, a DD-214 is preferred (please blackline your SSN), or other VA-issued ID. Class attendees must also provide documentation from VA showing disability. Interested Veterans must be pursuing a career as an entrepreneur/business owner at the concept or early stage of business development.

I would like to be considered for the spring class
Why is there no contact number? Apparently I can’t enroll now and want to get in next available session. How can I do this?
I applied with my VA eligibility letter and (unredacted) DD-214 BEFORE the deadline and I didn’t hear anything…nada, zero, zip, crickets. Is this some sort of scam?
Hi Christopher
First, we tell people not to send an unredacted DD-214 (in fact, we remind people to cover their SSN), That being said, don’t worry no one but the person overseeing the program has access to them and regardless, everyone’s information is kept secure. Second, we use a mailing platform through which we send newsletters etc. and it looks like you unsubscribed from the mailing list before the link email for the session was sent out (Oct 31). So, definitely no scam. If you email us (programming@warriorrising.org), we can probably get you squared away. Thank you!
Please note there is no class tonight– the dates of the sessions are: 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 1, Nov. 15, Nov. 29, Dec. 13 all using the same link. Thank you.
I am just seeing this message and realize it is too late for these upcoming sessions in November 2022. I would like to be contacted for the Spring sessions. Is there a place I can monitor (or call) for future announcements?

When will the next Warrior Rising opportunity like this come up? I am finishing two online courses and involved in community engagement so much that I can’t squeeze in this 4-session activity right now.
Hi Bill
There will be another session in the spring, 2023. You can join our regular program here if you want: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply
We have a mobile app that is due to be launched within the next week or so.
Good afternoon,

Mr. McGee. Can you provide your email to me by emailing me at Programming@warriorrising.org. I need more information (like first name etc0>
I’m trying to register for the Warrior Rising SDVETP program but it will not upload my DD 214. Is there an issue with the website? Please let me so I can get registered. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Hello,
Last week I registered for the Warrior Rising online course for Veteran entrepreneurs. I am following up because I have not received any correspondence confirming my registration and/ or any information or link to join the training which is scheduled for tomorrow.
Thank you for all that you do for veterans. I hope to hear from you.
Lawrence Claps
P.s. I did check my spam and there were no emails from your program
Thanks Lawrence. We are just waiting on late registrations to get in before sending out. It will be out within the next 90 mins though. Thank you for bearing with us.
Hello ,
I apply last week . I was wondering if my registration was received. I would really nice to attend this training.
I just.. submitted my information too. Therefore, I’m interested in learning how to know if I’m officially enrolled into this class and what are next steps to obtain access to the class?
I have registered but did not receive any correspondence. I have no way of knowing how to access the class, please respond.
Thank you
Hi Wayne
You’re registered. You should have the link in about 90 mins. We are just waiting for last minute registrations to come in.
I got registered and uploaded my DD214 on 10/26/2022; but have not received any update on how to join the classes. No confirmation email. Please help
Hi Don
We will be sending out shortly. Just trying to get the last minute people squared away.
I have been trying to upload my docs for 4 days it won’t load. I want to take the course.
Hi Cherlyn
Email me at programming@warriorrising.org and we’ll get you squared away.
I am very interested in the class as I am going to retire again and want to spend the rest of my days happy and working for my self.
I am confirming my registration for this event as well.
I just uploaded a Copy of my VA ID card that shows i’m service connected is that sufficient?
I’m receiving a server rejection error when I’m trying to upload my DD214
Although I understand the emphasis and attention given to Service-Connected Disabled Veterans. However, I think that this should be opened to all veterans needing assistance or education you are providing. I am trying to start my own business and this information could be valuable to all veterans seeking entrepreneurship. Thanks!
Hi Kevin. This particular program is a sponsored program only for service disabled veterans. We do have other programs where any veteran can apply. Please visit our website or apply for that program here: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply
Hi Kevin
This particular program was funded for service-disabled veterans. We do have other programs available for non-service-disabled veterans as well! please visit our website or apply here: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply
I am not sure about the qualifications either. Do you have to be 100% disabled or partial? I am only partial and may not qualify. Thoughts?
Thanks.
Any VA documented disability will quality.
Hello Keith
There is no qualification as to percentage of disability required, just documented proof of disability (for this program).
*** PLEASE BE AWARE that if we (Warrior Rising) have not responded to you it is because your email address is not in the body of your message and we have no way to contact you. Our sincere apologies.
Please hold another session of this training. I cannot make this training, but I am very interested in a future session.
We will Monica, no worries!
Hi
I need to confirm my registration for the small business class. Please confirm
Thanks Anna Kramm
Hi Anna you’re registered. Thank you
im interested in this program. i am service connected. disability.
Hi Gus
Did you go to the link above to register? Apply no later than midnight (E.S.T) on Oct. 31, 2022 at Warrior Rising SDVET Program Registration.
Hello I’m not a veteran I’m the daughter of a veteran I would like to know where I would start at to start a transportation business for the VA
Hi Trud
You can apply for other programs we have for immediate family members : http://www.warriorrising.org/appy. Thank you!
I wanted to register for this course, but it requires a having a google account or creating one to register. I have ZOOM, but I do not have nor do I want to create a google account ever. What other methods are there for veteran’s to register? Thank you, Kristine Goetz
Nevermind, I realized this is only if a veteran’s service disability has been adjudicated, which mine hasn’t yet
I qualify for the program, but was wondering if you help with the acquiring of a computer?
Why do you wait until we’ve read half the bulletin before mentioning it is only for service disabled vets?
I have an interest but would like to be notified when the program is offered again.
Hi Jackson. It will be offered again in early spring of 2023. Stay tuned to the VA News for more information. Thank you.
I would love to take this course!
I’ve seen your other reply to someone else here concerning a future date for this course (starting in early spring 2023).
Is it the same course as this one?
I am not sure if I will be able to attend the one offered right now until i confirm these dates … “Meetings at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 1, Nov. 15, Nov. 29, Dec. 13.” … Are these four the total dates – and approximately how long is each session?
Please keep me up to date on any further information.
Thank you!
Hi Marce, yes it would be the same course. Sessions are 60 mins. There will be another newsletter entry in the spring for a future course.
I would love to learn and attend this course. I have previously owned two businesses, but this course seems to be only for disabled vets. I am disabled and also a vet but although my disability is linked to the service, USMC I have been denied disability from the VA. Now my disability is being handled by attorneys in regard to the Camp Lejeune water. I have lung CA besides having a fused lower back and suffer from other ailments. but my medical status does not my brain, I can run a business, as I won’t be doing the physical work. I do have a plan for this business but need help putting together the business proposal. Let me know if you will accept vets awaiting disability. Thank you,
Louis Valentine
Hi Louis. You can apply to other programs similar to this that do not have the disability requirement. View our website or apply here: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply. Thank you.
I am a disabled veteran and I want to start a business and I need my wife to join me in the zoom class due to my disabilities and wanted to know if this is allowed would like to join your upcoming spring class I will submit my documents now for Spring class is this is ok
Hi Edwin. You wife can join you on the zoom.
Can course be taken without meeting attendance or can other meetings be scheduled for the am? 0800 or 0900. I works evenings at my full time job and will not be able to view the online meetings
Unfortunately not at this time but the course will be offered again in the spring of 2023, possibly in a morning slot. Thank you.
Hello, This is Victoria Thompson., i was interested regarding this program. Just want to ask if i am eligible to attend this class about Entrepreneurship Program for my future preparation and advance information, I am a surviving spouse of a Veteran ( Russell Gene Thompson passed away last October 6, 2021.)
Hi Victoria
Was your late husband service disabled? If so you could register for the class, as long as you have the documentation. Thanks
What is the time frame? The class hours and meeting times.
Will this course be offered again in the near future?
The class starts at 7 pm EST as noted above and lasts approx. 60 mins. It will be offered again in the early spring 2023.
Your link is restricted on VA networks/computers, fyi.
I had to forward to private email to open.
From: Carl Bowles; A Service connected Disabled Veteran, is very interested in your entrepreneurship offer. I like forward to hearing from your group
Is this only for Veterans or can their spouse join in this class as well? My husband has a owner-operator business in trucking and has alreayd sold one of his trucks and is possibly lokkin got hire someone to drive the other truck, or at least he was at one point?
I’m not disabled, is this available to me?
Hi Jerry
This program is only for service-disabled veterans but you can always apply to our other programs: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply

Hello,
I will not be able to start this course this time. Do you know when the next course will start?
Hi Cory
There will be another session in the early spring of 2023.
im sorry guys i think i misread it myself. The class seems to be only service disabled but they have othe rprograms for all veterans. Sorry if my comments confused anyone i can do that :)
It says its for all veterans . Read the section that says apply.
Do you need to be service disabled to attend or is it open to all veterans?
Hi David. For this particular program you need to be service disabled but you can apply to other programs that are open to all veterans. Please visit our website or apply here for those: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply
I have no website
I hope this training can help me get above water….
Since I’m not disabled can I attend?
says any veteran at the end
Hi
I am having trouble uploading my DD-214. Is it possble for me to fax?
Thank you!
This particular program is only for service-disabled veterans. We do have other programs though that are open to all veterans: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply
I’m not a disabled veteran and would be willing to pay for this type of class if that is an option that is provided.
hi Helen
We do not charge veterans. If you are not disabled, you can always see if you qualify for our regular program by visiting our website and applying here: http://www.warriorising.org/apply Thank you!
Good Morning,
Please, forward registration information on your next class cycle for the Warrior Rising SDVET Program Registration.
Thank you
Good morning Ana. We will send out information via the VA newsletter for the next class.
The start time was mentioned but not the end time. How long do the courses last?
Hi Ebony. 60 minutes. Thank you.
Is this training for disable veterans. I am an Iraq War veteran but not disabled and would really like to take this free course. This should apply to all war veterans. Please advise.
It does read the section that says apply, its for all veterans
The VA is still not done with my rating. Does this disqualify me until it is done?
I am a 26 year USAF Veteran that did not qualify for a disability at the time I retired. Am I disqualified from attending your event or program?
Hi Barbara
For this particular program but we have others that do not have that requirement. Please visit our website or apply here: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply. Thank you
Now that I have read thru all of the comments here, I can’t help but wonder if this is just some shady non-profit trying to get money from veterans. If they really wanted to help vets they would offer the class to all vets and spouses, etc. not just service-connected. They are trying to weed out who is collecting money from the VA so they can in-turn take it away from us! Scam non-profit!
they do read apply section
M that’s not the case– people are just misunderstanding. The program here is specific to service-disabled veterans as determined by the SBA that is funding it. We do have other programs that are open to other vets: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply. No scam whatsoever.
I would love to take this course if it will be offered in the Spring or Summer of 2023! Please put my name on a waiting list. Thank you.
Not sure if I would qualify for this program because it says you need proof of disability but I am not disabled. I am a service member that serviced 12 years in the Army Reserve so would this count?
The course starts at 7 PM Eastern for all sessions. As long as you are service disabled you can apply. If you can provide documentation and are a spouse you can apply. If you are having technical issues please email: programming@warriorrising.org. Thank you.
I am very interested and would like to attend .
Hi, friends. Most of the comments here are questions about eligibility. To be clear – the VA is not giving the class. A separate organization called Warrior Rising is and the VA is only letting you know about it.
If you have questions about the opportunity, you should contact Warrior Rising via email at programming@WarriorRising.org or visit their website – https://www.warriorrising.org/.
Seems to me you should offer this to ALL Veterans. Veterans hire Veterans.
Veterans should not segregate within Veterans.
Hi. Are all class meetings via zoom? If in person, where are the meetings held?
The classes are via zoom. Thanks!
I have attempted to register several times and the application is not accepting my DD214… I have the desire and interest in business ownership and would definitely like to be in the upcoming cohort!
Thank you for this opportunity
Thank you Vinson!
I am a disabled marine corps vet. Can my wife use this course. Thank you.
Yes as long as the appropriate documentation is provided. Thank you!
Wow all these questions and the only response was saying they deleted sensitive material from her comment but yet didnt answer her question. I think I can see where this training will be going…and not in a good way. As a disabled veteran I think I can learn more from youtube than from anything they offer veterans.
[Editor: Warrior Rising, who is presenting the class, has begun answering questions.]
I don’t know if I am eligible, I might be too old (77), not computer literate enough, not enough service time (3 years), and 30% disabled. I have considered starting a business but don’t where too start. This looks like a good way to learn what I need to know.
Hi, Jim.
I’d apply anyway. What are you out if they tell you no? Not much of a downside.
What time of day does the training begin and how long does it last?
I’m applying for this program , as I try to send info, it says file size is too large. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m sorry if I didn’t read it, or just passed by it, but how to sign up? I’ve got my 100% T&P disabled ID. Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you
Found it….
Can a widow of a disable veteran attend?
Thank you
P Luettchau
I’d apply as a woman veteran if allowed. Not disabled.
Is this only if you have a service disablity?
What if I already have business? What can you offer me? I’m trying to learn quickbooks. Do you offer a course in that?
There is not a specific course on Quickbooks (yet). We will have some special topic courses in 2023 and also guest speakers from the accounting profession on other programs (ex. our coaching sessions). The topic will be touched on in this program though.
Thank you so much
Will there be an opportunity in the future for this course? I’m not able to attend the first course scheduled but very interested in this course.
In one instance I see that it is for Service Disabled Vet, and in another area, I see it is available for former or current military service veterans.
I was wondering if this is available to a veteran USAF (non-service-connected disabled) who served from 1966-1970 with an Honorable Discharge and claims no disability?
I’m in Europe. Can I participate?
Rhys, the course is virtual-live so yes you can, but the time is 7 pm Eastern.
I am unable to attend at this time. But i am interested in your next class offering.
What time is the class held? I still work 7-1600 but am interested in this class.
I want to know if there’s other forms of verification to use don’t have DD 214 at the time
You listed the dates of the classes but not the times.
I’m interested in this but can’t figure out how to sign up.
i’m an 80 yo 100% permanent and total disabled veteran (service conned) with a product with a patent pending would that i need start up money. i my team has put a lot of our financial resources to market our one of a kind product. i’d like to register for the educational program. Am i too old to qualify. i want to put veterans to work. , but i need help.
I am a Marine Reservist from the 70’s. However, I did not get injured while I was on duty. I had a stroke on 3 Jan. 2007. Do I qualify for the program? Please let me know.
Thanks
I truly appreciate your blessings and help with training me in the opportunity for operation of a business. I didn’t know that programs were available to veterans like myself but I tried to shoulder the load myself and it was too much. I have everything I need in place just can’t find the help.
We hope to be able to help Ryann.
THIS IS WORTHLESS UNLESS THE INSTRUCTORS HAVE ACTUALLY STARTED AND RAN A BUSINESS THEMSELVES! DUH! I HAVE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT! SEMPER FI! DONALD DEAN
Wow… Do you know if they have NOT started and run a business? Maybe you could volunteer to instruct.
i think the links are broken. cannot sign up for this.
? Why have this up here if it cant be accessed?
No longer excepting applications?
Can I please be enrolled in your program? I would be very grateful. Thank you.
The link does not allow you to apply for the program. Is there another link?
I couldn’t register for the veterans enterpernure training.
When I selected to enroll, I was told this program is no longer accepting responses. What site should I look at for enrollment? Thank you. -SGT Daniel L. Quinter, USA, Ret.
“The form Warrior Rising SDVETP Program Registration is no longer accepting responses.
Try contacting the owner of the form if you think this is a mistake.”
Why do you send me this email message about this program if you are no longer accepting requests for applicants? Is the owner of the form going to state that they are not allowing veterans to apply?
Hi Diane
we recognize that some people are encountering technical issues but we ask that you just try to register again. If there is still a problem please email us at programming@warriorrising.org. Be sure to include your email in the body of the message. Thank you.
It says Registration is no longer available. Can I still apply?

This opportunity sounds like an incredible program…I’ll be turning 72 soon, I didn’t read of any age restrictions
…Look out world! I’m on my way!
This was a good course, kinda long, but I think it needs to be due to the amount of information shared by the presenters…they did a good job.
I tried to sign up, but instead I got the following message:
The form Warrior Rising SDVETP Program Registration is no longer accepting responses.
Try contacting the owner of the form if you think this is a mistake.
What times will the meeting take place? Is there any idea for how long the meetings could be? Thank you.
how do i sign up…i dont want a google account
It says it’s not accepting applications, is this correct?
Sounds awesome but Would prefer a class after the holidays so I can provide 100% attention to the class.
I tried to sign-up / apply for the program and it said to contact the administrator. If possible I would like to sign up for this program.
Thank you,

Link isn’t allowing me to apply?
Just to clarify.
This 8 week program is being made available to service connected disabled veterans, correct?
Joe
That is correct but you can apply for other programs we have. Please visit our website or apply here: http://www.warriorrising.org/apply Thank you!
I am a service connected Vet
Apply no later than 10/31 @ midnight but the link shows it’s already closed on 10/24 @ 8:15pm. Got the email with the link less than 2 hours ago. I guess this isn’t for real.

What are the times of the sessions and how long they last?

Do u have 2 be disabled? Or just a vet?
Please let me know of the next round will open. Looks like no more reservations are being accepted. Looks like a very good program.

I am in the process of filing my disability application and I have suffered the loss of my business since and because of COVID restrictions, etc.
Is there any way that I can qualify for this to help in re-building my business?
Just received the email from VA news and go to the website for registration “Apply no later than midnight (E.S.T) on Oct. 31, 2022 at Warrior Rising SDVET Program Registration” and it says no longer accepting.. So, now what? When is the next one, is there a next one?
Hi Tom
Please try the link again or email us at programming@warriorrising.org. Be sure to include your email in the message. Thank you.
I am a Nam VET, I am not disabled, but, I would appreciate the training.
Thanks,

The link to register is shut down. Is there somewhere else to apply?
When will the next class start, as the link says it’s close as of now.
Hi Valerie: Please try the link again or email us at programming@warriorrising.org. Be sure to include your email in the message. Thank you.
Good evening,
I am trying to register for this class and I’m getting an error. Please advise.
Thanks.
Iam very much interested
I’d like to help. I’ve been facilitating workshops online in at local colleges for 20 years. Online courses are Fire Your Boss and “Be Succesful Without Going To College Using The Power of Positive Tinkering” Thye could do them online or in person here in Cleveland. I am also preparing a CD with the tutorial on it. I would do this at no cost to Veterans since I come from a semi military family. I was in the 101st Airborne.
What if I’m a female veteran whohasbeencheatedout of disabilitystatus? Meaning that I am disabled but denied by va as most veterans are. Can I still apply without disability.?
I would like to start a business taking veterans from the home to the VA then back home again

[Editor: NEVER publish your PII or other sensitive information on the internet! I have edited it from this comment.]
I’m interesting
For the record, not ALL veterans separate from their service with a DD Form 214. National Guard and Reserve veterans have a completely different separation form altogether. Time for you to RECOGNIZE and HONOUR that, since not all veterans were/are Active Duty.
Hi Shannon
As long as you are providing valid proof of service and service related disability it will be accepted.
