The 2023 Warrior GMR VA Duel of Champions is a gaming tournament slated to take place September 16-17 at the Outer Limits Gaming lounge in Ashburn, Virginia. This event is hosted in partnership with the Department of Veteran Affairs’ Center for Minority Veterans and Howard University.
The tournament spans two days and covers two of the most beloved eSports titles—Rocket League on Day 1 and Super Smash Bros. on Day 2. While Day 1 is by invitation only and comprises various military branches and Veteran teams, Day 2 is an open tournament where anyone can register and compete. If you can’t make it in person, the tournament will be streamed live on Twitch at Warrior GMR’s channel.
Who is eligible?
For Day 1, which features the Rocket League tournament, participation is by invitation only, targeted primarily at military branches and Veteran teams. Day 2’s Super Smash Bros. tournament is open to the public, meaning anyone can join the fray.
As for viewers, everyone is welcome! You can either watch the games live at the venue for free or stream them from the comfort of your home via Twitch.
