VA is hosting VetFest events nationwide to inform Veterans and their families, caregivers, and survivors about the PACT Act and help them access the health care and benefits they’ve earned. A list of VetFest events near you is at the bottom of this post and will be updated as additional events and details become available.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet VA representatives: Talk to VA health care and benefits professionals who can answer your questions about how the PACT Act impacts your eligibility and help you navigate the application process.
  • Apply for benefits: Get assistance with filing for PACT Act-related benefits, submitting an intent to file, or enrolling in VA health care.
  • Toxic exposure screenings: Receive a screening by VA staff to determine if you may be eligible for benefits due to toxic exposure.

The PACT Act (Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act) is the largest expansion of Veteran health care and benefits in generations. It specifically benefits Veterans who served in the Vietnam War, Gulf War, and post-9/11 eras and were exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. PACT Act also extends eligibility to survivors of these exposed Veterans.

You can find additional events in your local area by visiting the VA Facility Locator to find a facility near you or by visiting VA Outreach events.

VA is committed to ensuring all eligible Veterans and survivors receive the benefits they deserve under the PACT Act. If you are unable to attend a VetFest event, you can still learn more and access resources online by visiting:

In Tampa, FL there is hayley va hospital that refuses vet preference in nursing assistant positions. No requirement for CNA but my FLEMT skills are superior to the NA requirements. I also have an aas as medical assistant but unpatriotic hayley refuses employment. In fact they have spent money by the pound enforcing my rejection in a workforce that is less that 255 veteran. UNPATRIOTIC. Bendict Armold had more integrity than hayley va. My skills and abilities are no match for their unpatriotic arrogance. I have taken emergency management classes through FEMA. No medics know how to handle flash burns, blast injuries, thermal burns, shrapnel wounds despite several bomb threats to va hospitals in the US. I can do the work but not combat the ultra holier than thou in management. I have applied for training and been refused. For exposing hayley they7 blocked me from their page. Can’r afford an attorney so unpatriotic liars win. Those thinking of enlisting need to know this.

where is Morehead City NC or Winston Salem NC

  3. John Sutherland June 17, 2024 at 11:39

ADD one to Western WA state.

  4. Andrew Swetland June 17, 2024 at 11:02

Californian veteran here, really wish I could get a Mobile Clinic with the ability to get same-day claim processing somewhere in my state. Or at least know how many months it might be until that might be, if ever.

  5. Joe Mack June 16, 2024 at 19:45

No mobile unit events scheduled anywhere New York or Northeast? When can some be expected!

  6. Thomas mattingly June 14, 2024 at 15:32

I see NO MOBILE units in WA. State.
Are their any coming up ? And where
    Would they be.

  7. Paula S. June 14, 2024 at 11:57

Contacted Methuen MA veterans agent regarding 7/6 Vet Fest. Didn’t know anything about it. Please advise.

  8. FELDON JAY STEIGER June 14, 2024 at 11:14

I live in Las Vegas, NV and I need to know where the nearest mobile event is and when.

  9. Ian Shepherd June 13, 2024 at 22:47

How often are these events updated?

What is the timeline for rolling out Mobile units across the country?

Can any of these VetFest events expedite getting service treatment records?

  10. Don Teaford June 13, 2024 at 15:27

Why are the mobile units that can get your claim approved THAT DAY only in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio? For example.. I live in Mississippi and the only event here is 2 hours away in Jackson, why? Additionally, what will be done at this event that CAN’T be done with the VSO at the local VA Hospital and the non-mobile units? All the VSO do is literally ask you the questions on the website and for most of your questions, they dont have the answer. It’s my opinion that the VA claims should be done by a trained professional, not a volunteer. Lastly, for all my fellow vets.. try doing the claim yourself online 1st, it’s fairly straight forward and easy and no different from what the VSO would do.

  11. Francisco Abraham Velasquez June 13, 2024 at 15:12

    Mobile units in California?

  12. Christopher Vandenberg June 13, 2024 at 07:18

I am assuming that there will be new dates and locations for these (especially the mobile sites). It would be amazing if we could sign up to be notified when there is a new event scheduled in my area.

  13. Kelvin Colbert Sr June 13, 2024 at 05:28

I never knew this was possible

  14. James Woo June 12, 2024 at 20:41

Why are mobile units scheduled in only certain states and not everywhere?

  15. Corinna Reed June 12, 2024 at 19:49

    Hello,

Why do you have the events in Austin, TX and none in San Antonio, TX?

    Thank you.

  16. Edward J Morgan June 10, 2024 at 20:23

Absurd; your locations are too far for many veterans to attend. For example, I reside in Arizona. Phoenix and Prescott are less than an hour apart; however, they are both 6 hours from my location. Why is it that you folks are so blind that you continue to not understand simple logistics? You could have scheduled one event in Phoenix and another in Tuscon. I imagine this is a problem in other locations also. You talk about supporting veterans, but do little to actually do so.

  17. Susan White June 9, 2024 at 11:35

I can’t find out where in Boca Raton the vet test will be held nor what time

  18. Frank Meza June 7, 2024 at 22:21

This is a nice effort. But too many veterans, like me, live in rural areas too far to travel and are left completely out.

    • John Doe June 17, 2024 at 07:39

Nothing in at all in some states or regions larger than some US states. No addresses/ phone numbers. Should we just start hitchhiking around the USA to try to get lucky. Is Vetfest a big one hit wonder?
Who is in charge of this random vetfest plan, where is that phone number?

  19. GREGORY REYNOLDS June 7, 2024 at 16:09

Why don’t you have a toll free number for those of us Vets that can’t travel for 3 hours to get to your seminars. ??‍♂️

  20. Kathleen Alleman June 7, 2024 at 15:08

When you post an event, is it too much to ask for an address. To say it’s in Johns Creek is too vague. I’m having no luck locating the VET Fest event for June 8th!

  21. Allan Manning June 7, 2024 at 10:59

Is this for veterans trying to get benefits started?

  22. Ronald Bush Sr. June 7, 2024 at 04:28

Why no VET FEST activity at Mann-Grandstaff Veterans Hospital in Spokane, Washington?

  23. Leland I Ammons June 7, 2024 at 02:41

Sixty percent of the Texas events are scheduled in Austin or San Angelo? Can that possible represent veteran undeserved areas with only two of 254 counties? I understand limited resources and budget but you might have been better with pushing online contacts/responses unless you are trying to pick “fun” places people want to go. San Angelo?

  24. Roger obershaw June 6, 2024 at 21:56

Do we need to make an appointment to see someone in Roseburg, OR in September?

  25. Glen Neal June 6, 2024 at 21:54

I need my right hip replaced for sure. It’s been an issue 4 years prior to retirement 6 years ago.

  26. Glen Neal June 6, 2024 at 21:52

I need to have my hip evaluation done. It’s been an issue the last 4 years prior to retirement. One leg is a lot shorter than the other.

  27. Jeffery YERGER June 6, 2024 at 20:56

Why do you only have one VET FEST, and it’s on the eastern side of Washington State.  You could not be farther from the population center of Washington State than if you tried.   Why didn’t you have at least one VET FEST in western Washington?

  28. Robert Allen Shields June 6, 2024 at 20:13

Thank you for the opportunity to have help with my claim.

  29. Peter Carrillo June 6, 2024 at 19:05

Any event info for Vet Fest on June 18th in ELA, California. Shall I contact ELA Vet Center.

  30. Peter Carrillo June 6, 2024 at 19:02

No info for East LA Vet Fest on June 18.

  31. Rebecca O’Bannon June 6, 2024 at 13:39

There is not one event taking place in Northwest Florida, lower Alabama, lower Mississippi, not one! There are a multitude (5 NAS Pensacola, Whiting Field, Hurlburt, Eglin, Naval Surface Warfare Center) within 4 counties. I guess they don’t rate attention!

Key West????????? You have got to be kidding.

    • Shannon Garrett June 7, 2024 at 01:32

There is one sort of in my area but three are no links or info. Help?

  32. Amanda June 6, 2024 at 13:33

  33. DDunnam June 6, 2024 at 12:20

  36. Samuel Tovar June 6, 2024 at 09:21

there is more Vets in San Antonio Tx than in San Angelo and Austin Tx, however you are not coming to San Antonio

  37. Paul Whitman June 6, 2024 at 09:10

I’m in Connecticut, does black mean there is no event being held?

  38. alan frank June 6, 2024 at 07:58

There is a problem with this article. Many of the events just list city and date. Example: Arizona – AZ
June 27, 2024, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. MST, Phoenix, AZ: PACT Act Summer VetFest. Where at in Phoenix? There is nothing on the Outreach site provided.

  39. William Thomas Hampton June 6, 2024 at 07:15

So … how’s about dem veterans who faithfully served and live in England. So what’s we suppose 2 do? Just shoot ourselfs or sumpin? My twin brother and me bof served on the same ship (CVA-43-look it up) at the same time (1964-66) in da same blue waters doin da same dam thing. But … get this … he be now coasting along on what’s about $5K American A MONTH wif a initial payout of about 1/4 million, but I got nuffin for my efforts. Now you tell me! How fair is that? Shouldn I be awarded and rewarded daccordingly?

  40. Mike Fresia June 6, 2024 at 06:24

It is a shame this event is not being held in the Eastern area of North Carolina, where some of the largest retired Marine and Army Veterans are.
The largest Marine Corps base on the East Coast is in Jacksonville NC (along with a large population of retirees). We are nearly 250 miles away from the closest event in the state.

    • Chris Camacho June 11, 2024 at 12:52

Mike, there is an event in Eastern North Carolina coming up! There’s an event on June 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greenville VA Health Care Center as part of the Durham VA Health Care System. Visit https://www.va.gov/durham-health-care/events/69410/ for information. Or feel free to send an email to vhadurcommunications@va.gov and I’ll be happy to share information with you. Additionally, there’s an event we’re planning for Craven County, but we haven’t locked in a date. – Chris, Chief of Communications.

      • Mike Fresia June 17, 2024 at 10:22

Chris, Thanks for the information and the quick reply.

  41. Robert Kellner June 6, 2024 at 06:12

What is the location in Brooklyn for the June 8, 2024 event?

  42. Jesse Rosario June 6, 2024 at 03:40

    Hello 2024 VetFest Committee;

Once again, GUAM and the Territories and other insular areas are not included in this special and important event. It seems this is the norm for Guam as well as the other insular areas.

Any reason(s) why GUAM and the other insular areas with veterans who served, some gave all and all gave some, is being denied this important event?

  43. Rafael Rodriguez June 6, 2024 at 00:33

Why don’t we have anything in Miami?

  44. Janina M Mead June 5, 2024 at 23:07

Nothing in Northern California? That is disappointing

  45. Daryl Indes June 5, 2024 at 22:08

Address of the East LA location?

  46. Ronald June 5, 2024 at 22:00

The PACT ACT deadline is this summer. How can there NOT be a PACT ACT CLAIMS CLINIC offered in San Antonio at possibly the largest veteran population in the entire nation. Once again, San Antonio service population is an afterthought in the operation of Audie Murphy Employment Agency. Unreal

    • Ilene S. June 7, 2024 at 11:05

DAV got me in touch with a veteran who fought my entire battle for me to get my husband’s benefits. He passed from Agent Orange exposure and as surviving spouse I am entitled to the benefits that he died for. It took about a year but I did get the back money so I am writing to you to tell you not to stop making phone calls until someone agrees to help you. Make a fuss if necessary because you are entitled to everything that you deserve. Cash, medical, dental and prescriptions. Don’t stop until you get pointed to the right person because they are out there and you earned your benefits it sure sounds like. Good luck, I wish I could help more than this.

    • Chuck June 12, 2024 at 21:33

There is no deadline on the Pact Act.

  47. Paul B. Parks June 5, 2024 at 21:45

I’ve been passed over for over 4 decades since my honorable discharge in 1980. Nobody who says they’re going to help me has ever HELPED me! 12 a dozen & never heard back from anyone of these. I am disable & unable to go & travel anywhere other than a store to use what meager $’s are available in $108 per month in EBT Benefits. I guess I was just an imaginary figure in a psych ward D at Bethesda Naval Medical Center back then, and shoved out the door as a no matter of any fact pos as I am sure not to be alone as the only 1… But I WAS! ~ paul

    • Ilene S. June 7, 2024 at 11:06

My reply is above you for some odd reason.

  48. John June 5, 2024 at 20:58

Too many states with a single event. Doesn’t show much support for Vrterans!

  49. Nancy Glasscock June 5, 2024 at 20:41

I am surprised Kerrville Texas is not having a Vet Fest.

    • Me June 24, 2024 at 12:30

Kerrvile has a population of 25k, SA has 1.4 mil and does not. Houston has over 2 mil and does not.

  50. Dennis Souza June 5, 2024 at 20:04

Well that doesn’t do those of us on the west side of the mountains here in Washington.

  51. Bertrand Evans-Taylor June 5, 2024 at 19:57

I don’t see any resources for folks in Guam even though there is a military base there and accessing VA resources is already difficult for those on the island.

  52. Mike June 5, 2024 at 19:53

Your schedule states: “Nov. 19 – 21, 2024, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. MDT, Colorado Springs, CO: El Paso PACT ACT Healthcare and Claims Clinic” However, if you mosey on over to https://www.elpasoco.com/el-paso-county-veterans-services-local-agencies-host-pact-act-claims-clinics-veterans/ the dates are 7, 8 and 9 August. Or did I misread something?

    Mike Celmer

  53. bill reno June 5, 2024 at 19:28

Your page says there are no VA offices within 25 miles of 74136

  54. Phillip Bolton June 5, 2024 at 19:21

    Why nothing in San Antonio?

  55. Richard Bock June 5, 2024 at 18:12

Vetfest in Florida. Really!!!!! What a joke!!!¡

  56. DANIEL R WILLIAMS SR June 5, 2024 at 18:07

I see July 18th, 2024, Martinsburg, WV – Martinsburg VAMC, Vet Fest Summer Event.
