I was told being a Gold star mom I should be able to do this, but I keep getting denied. I have found nowhere to call or email to ask questions.
No thanks to the data mining company!!! I guess you better hire more people. And kill more trees. If I can’t login anymore you can mail me or call me.
Oh and I won’t be able to use my DS login either??? Seriously???????????

Login.gov is the only VA login service any Veteran should be using to access any government (.gov) website.
Go to Login.gov and register.
Why are there multiple 2-factor authentication services for government access?
Even more puzzling, one a for-profit, private company with controversy and problems (ID.me) and the other a government service paid for with tax dollars (Login.gov)
Pretty sure I know which one I’m going to use to access government sites.

While I appreciate a good discount, VA is trying to get people to move to login.gov, so this article should be removed.
Love that VA has this avenue of sharing VA information for us.
Thank you

With the big data loss of hundreds of millions of Americans and other countries using another service merely exposes our privacy to abuse and loss of privacy. Why is a federal agency receiving billions using a third party to verify access to the benefits and information they provide is? When companies trade with our most private information and profit without our consent and we don’t know who the real investors and owners are, how else is the information used and of course we’ve learned our own government violates the constitutional rights by buying information from those same companies instead of obtaining court orders. We are told to give a third party our social security, date of birth, address and even copies of drivers license to access our own records which they’ll also have access to including medical treatment, medications and healthcare problems protected by HiPPA. Shameful our own government takes such a causal approach to protecting our privacy and rights . Europe has protected their citizens and the companies who compromised the information elected to operate from the USA We are pushing Congress to pass similar laws protecting f everyone and imposing severe penalties for those profiting from our personal information and privacy
You tell us it’s here, but you don’t tell us how to sign in or click on a link. What if you already have a ID.Me Account?
ID me is a joke. It’s almost impossible to use.
I’ve browsed through the brands you listed as offering discounts to veterans, but they only seem to offer discounts to active military. Perhaps I’m missing something, but could use some direction. Also, is there a list available of the brands that have signed up to provide discounts to veterans? I’d like to see if any of them offer products I may be interested in. Stanley, a well-known tool company, only seems to be offering Barbie-related products…
All the best,
Tom
ID.me has a new verification requirement that requires a smart phone or a computer with a camera and microphone for verification. I have neither and thus ID.me is useless.
I have been trying to sign up for ID.me and not making any progress. The customer service allows a person seeking help to select from 5 problems, all of which seem very easy to solve and have NOTHING to do with my request. Then you get an automated reply that has NOTHING to do with anything noted as the problem in the detailed description I provided. It is a real train wreck IMO. I suspect because I have my credit frozen because of the massive SSN / ID hacks of recent days and in the past. If the rejections would say, unable to confirm credit at this credit XXX bureau that would be great- but it does NOT. Or if I would say that I wasn’t tall enough then I would know the problem – but it says nothing to provide a reason with AI and customer service not helping so far.
I created an account and login but you can’t do anything with it. I can’t get the messages from my doctor and can’t send anything to them. It’s really very frustrating to try and use it! Once you sign in you shouldn’t have to sign in again!
