Cybersecurity is a top focus at VA and for Veterans every day. Our online safety and cybersecurity habits affect everything we do—both at work and at home.

Whether it’s online banking, shopping, paying for utilities, managing our email or searching for information, many of our daily activities happen online. This makes us vulnerable.

A new video from VA’s Office of Information and Technology explores these issues and answers questions like:

  • How do I detect and avoid phishing and other attempts to compromise my identity and steal personal information and finances?
  • What are top cybersecurity practices VA is following to protect my information?
  • How can I incorporate cyber safety best practices in my daily life?
  • How do I report cybersecurity incidents that affect me and my loved ones?
  • How can I protect myself and family from threats when shopping online?
  • What cyber safety resources should I know and bookmark?

Check out the new cyber tips video to hear from VA Deputy Chief Information Security Officers as they discuss all things cybersecurity with tips to keep your family safe online.
