If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to find the right support services as a Veteran, you’re not alone. From housing needs to employment and mental health resources, knowing where to start or how to apply can feel like a full-time job. That’s where PATRIOTlink, an open-access resource database from Code of Support Foundation comes in. And now, it’s better than ever.

A better way to find support

PATRIOTlink has launched a new pilot program designed to make resource navigation easier for Veterans and military families searching for assistance. This update introduces a referral feature, built specifically for partner case managers, but with major benefits for Veterans:

  • Secure file storage: All of your information stays safe in one place.
  • Chat with a case manager: A built-in chat tool makes it easier to stay in touch with your case manager or the PATRIOTlink team, ensuring that you feel supported at all times.
  • Progress tracking: You and your case manager can keep tabs on applications, updates and follow-ups all in one place, keeping you organized and informed.

Integration with VA

Additionally, PATRIOTlink now connects directly with VA through a secure application programming interface (API), which allows eligible users to upload their information to their platform account. If you’re a Title 38 Veteran, you can securely reference your VA profile when applying for support services on the platform, making verification more efficient.

Built with Community in Mind

So far, 21 nonprofit organizations have joined the pilot program. These include groups that specialize in mental health, employment, education support, recreational programs, service animals, caregiver support and more. All of these programs are ready to support Veterans.

By using PATRIOTlink’s referral feature and VA API, partners are equipped to do this work on your behalf even more effectively and efficiently.

Why this matters

There are over 45,000 Veteran support organizations across the U.S., but navigating the entire system of resources can be incredibly difficult. PATRIOTlink is working to bring them all together into one easy-to-use, accessible platform for you and your family.

Since 2016, PATRIOTlink.org has been connecting Veterans and their families to vetted, free or low-cost programs nationwide. Whether you’re transitioning out of service, in need of support, or helping a fellow Veteran find resources, these updates will provide you with the ease of use and peace of mind you’ve been searching for. Visit patriotlink.org to get started today.

Why aren’t you offering the pro-American app https://bluesky.app/ for sharing?

I am glad to see this as we are both Veterans and it is hard to keep things straight for information required by the various agencies that we use. We are excited to get and try this service. Thank you

Getting any kind of assistance through the VA is a joke. Putting requests in with the help of the person at the VA office and we do not hear anything back and it’s been a year and a half. Turned in a request for hearing aides over a month ago and we hear nothing back. Call them and they can’t find the paperwork so we have to start all over. Already had hearing assessment with the VA proving hearing loss last year but they want it repeated again. It is a vicious circle and nothing ever gets done.

Heres a thought…QUIT blaming the VA for what your complaining about and blame Trumps MAGA idiots and all their funding cuts just so that his Oligarch buddies can maintain their fat pockets. The VA employees are doing their best with what they got..Just saying

So the OP had an issue for a year and a half. But it’s Trumps fault…?

Focus on what YOU can do. No one cares about you more than you. The VA has always been receptive and helpful to me. I know they are doing what they can.

        Just saying…

I am afraid of going to a va recommended dentist. I have been to one already, to get a badly needed cleaning. But I already had a few missing teeth. I was told I needed 9000$worth of bridge work, and once I got the bridge work done. Then he would clean my teeth. Oh yeah, I would have had to pay the 9000$ out of pocket. Now my situation has worsened to the point where I have to have extractions and replacements. And I have no idea what I’m going to do

    Wonderful, Wonderful and Wonderful.
I’ve been having serious and painful, hour by hour dental problems on several teeth that was banged up an infected by dental person that the VA, sent me to use. It’s been 3 years and very little has been done, if any. These two lower teeth right side, were infected for over 3 months because of lack of dental knowledge from the dentist that the VA recommended. I asked the VA and other government groups for help, but why does it take over 3 years to deal with my teeth that feels again that they are infected from the constant pain.

The original so call “dental person” who was recommended by the VA, St. Louis hospital group, needs to be eliminated from the VA’s dentist list,in my opinion, but something obviously is in the middle of why this so call dentist has not been eliminated from the VA”list. This is the 4th time that I’ve ask for dental help through the VA, and one of the dental person recommended by the VA, indicated that it was infected but his comments was basically “put up an shut up,” which was disappointing since this tooth infection was cause by a dentist recommended by the St. Louis, VA dental group. I’m sure that the St. Louis VA dentist is an excellent dentist, but probably not aware of all the dentist’s in the Saint Louis area. The dental pain has now also mover to several teeth next to the one’s that I’ve had problems with.

My husband is having the same problem with dental at the VA. Takes up to or more to get in to see the VA dentists. So he hasn’t gotten an appointment in the last two years. The out sourced dentists, two of them quit using VA due to the enormous paper work, having to hire extra office personnel just to handle that paper work and the VA only covering half the cost for dental on a veteran. My husband had a recent heart attack that we think could be caused by the neglect of dental care. We cannot afford an out side dentist at all. And still waiting for a call back from VA that they found an out sourced dentist in our area. The ones he did have for only a short time were excellent but too expensive for us to afford to go back.
