Today’s #VeteranoftheDay is Norbert Krob.
Norbert served with the 778th Tank Battalion with Patton’s 3rd Army in Europe during World War II. He was first a maintenance officer, then platoon leader and eventually company commander.
He received a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and three campaign stars on his European-African-Middle Eastern campaign medal.
Norbert’s identical twin brother, Bob, was also a soldier. The two brothers fought within a few miles of each other during WWII.
