Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Jerome Riordan.
Jerome was born in Spokane, Washington in 1921. He volunteered for World War II in 1942.
He was assigned to U.S. Army’s 7th Division as an Ammunition Bearer. He served in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1945.
After the war, he worked a number of jobs, eventually becoming a pressman at the Spokesman-Review newspaper. He retired there after 33 years.
Jerome is revered by his family and considered to have a great sense of humor.
Today is his 95th birthday.
Thank you for your service, Jerome!
