Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Laura Clark. Laura served in the U.S. Army from 1986 – 1989 and then in the Maryland National Guard from 1989-2005. She served as Military Police and an administrative assistant. She served in the Gulf War in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. She also worked with the Drug Suppression Team at the Panama Field Office, Third Region, United States Army Criminal Investigation Command. Laura used her military police training as a starting point for a career in law enforcement with the Baltimore County Police Department. She served for 20 years with Baltimore County and attained the rank of Lieutenant prior to retiring in 2010. She currently resides in North Carolina and stays active by hiking, camping, and participating in all manner of activities related to the great outdoors.
