Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Air Force Veteran Carla Thornton.
Carla joined the Air Force in 1997 and served as a Logistics Technician. She has served tours during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She spent 11 years on active duty and nine years in the Air Force Reserves.
Carla’s awards include the Air Force Achievement Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal.
Carla continues to support the veteran community by working as a Veterans Counselor at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, California. Additionally, she is a board member on the California Department of Veterans Affairs and serves on the Leadership Council on the University of Southern California Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans & Military Families.
Thank you for your service, Carla!
