What education benefits does VA offer? How can I find out how much VA will pay for tuition and fees for school? And what benefits are available to Veterans who have a service-connected disability that impacts their employment?
On Feb. 15, VA partnered with Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) for a Facebook chat to answer these questions and more, helping Veterans navigate their education and employment benefits. VFW kicked off the chat by posting ten frequently asked questions while VA directed participants to additional tools, resources and services. During the chat, VA stood by to answer Veterans’ specific questions and continued responding throughout the day.

Veterans have education and employment benefits right at their fingertips. VA offers financial support to cover the cost of tuition, housing, books and more. In addition, VA supports Veterans in all stages of a job search. Learn more here.
Veterans’ spouses, dependents and survivors also had questions about education benefits they may qualify for. On the Explore VA website, there is a page dedicated to providing information about VA education benefits for Veterans’ spouses, dependents and survivors.
Many Veterans had questions about VA’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program. VR&E assists Veterans with a service-connected disability through career counseling, resume workshops, training and more. You can learn about the VR&E program and eligibility here.
