Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Andrea Pratt.

After graduating from Texas Christian University, Andrea decided to join the Army and served from 2003 to 2011. Her duties while in the Army included serving as a signal officer, company commander, and deputy public affairs officer.

Andrea was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. For her service, she is the recipient of numerous awards including, the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.

Despite retiring from the military, Andrea remained involved with the service by working as an elementary school teacher at various military posts. She is currently at graduate student and working as an administrative intern at Fort Belvoir Elementary School in Virginia.
