#VeteranOfTheDay Air Force Veteran Kaye Edwards Graves

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves Veteran Kaye Edwards Graves. Kaye served in the Persian Gulf War and enlisted in 1980.

Kaye shared her story with the Veteran’s History Project in 2004. She serves in the Air National Guard as a Technical Sergeant.

Kaye joined the Reserves after college as a Material Facilities Specialist then she was sent to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm. She spent a few months on active duty in Las Vegas prepared to provide backup to troops overseas. At Grissom Air Force Base and in Operation Desert Storm Storm Kaye was a cook. She stayed with the Reserves until the war ended.

Currently, Kaye works at a VA Medical Center as a Medical Records Specialist.
