Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran David Lee.
David graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1985. In the mid-1990s, he deployed for Operation Sea Signal, a humanitarian mission at Guantanamo Bay to manage over 5000 Cuban and Haitian refugees. Then he was a battalion commander with 1-38 Field Artillery in Korea from September 2003 through June 2005.
In 2006, David was selected for the prestigious Secretary of Defense Corporate Fellow program and earned an executive MBA alongside a senior-level internship with DuPont. In his final military assignment as director of marketing for the U.S. Army, he developed the famous Army Strong recruiting campaign.
After retirement in 2009, David worked as an independent social media consultant followed by senior corporate executive positions in employment branding for Amazon.com and Bristol Myers Squibb. He is currently the director of Military Programs for CVS Health.
Thank you for your service David!
