Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Veteran Omar Andrews. Omar served as a rifleman from 2010 to 2016. He had two tours at sea—one as a member of the Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team in the Pacific and his second as part of a Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the USS Bataan. Notable awards include the Navy Achievement Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
Omar currently resides in Portland, Maine, but is originally from Columbus, Ohio. He is a student at the University of Southern Maine double majoring in political science and psychology. He is passionate about policy and Veteran affairs.
