Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Russell Pool.

Russell served in the Marine Corps for more than 30 years.

He retired in 1990 as Weather Chief in on Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona.

During his enlistment, he spent time at Kaneohe Bay, Cherry Point, Camp Pendleton, NAS Glenview and more. He also served in Japan and Vietnam.

Weather observers and forecasters are small group in the Marine Corps, so his influence was felt throughout his service.

He further served part of Department of Army Meteorological Team.

Thank you for your service, Russell.
