Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Monica Leverette.

Monica served in the Army Nurse Corps as a 66H Medical-Surgical Nurse from 1994 to 2016.

She deployed to Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn in 2010-2011.

While deployed to Iraq, she was the Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Detainee Medical Center, which provided medical care to more than 3,000 detainees.

On drill weekends she was the OIC at the Detroit VA Medical Center, and mentored more than 25 medics and other 66Hs.

Thank you for your service, Monica!
