Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran James “Jimmy” Buckland.
Jimmy honorably served for 21 years from 1989-2010.
Jimmy served operations in Panama, Desert Storm, Khobar Towers, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. He fondly recalls his time in Charlie Company 2-9 Infantry “Manchu” and Bravo 2/187 INF “Rakkassans”. For his service, he was awarded two Meritorious Service Medals, the Glenn E. Morrell Award for Recruiting Excellence, and was named Station Commander of the Year three times.
Jimmy and his wife, Delores, have four children. Together the family supports troops by organizing fundraising events and sending care packages to those deployed overseas. Currently, Jimmy is the co-owner of Technical Concrete Specialists in Atlanta, GA.
Thank you for your service, Jimmy!
