Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran George W. Brown. George served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.

George attended the University of Tennessee, participating in the ROTC program and earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Through ROTC, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant. Rather than accepting a position as a general’s aide in the United States, George volunteered to serve in Vietnam. George was stationed outside Pleiku with the 4th Infantry Division and was later transferred to the 173rd Airborne Brigade.

After leaving Vietnam, George continued his service in the Army Reserves in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Thank you for your service, George!
