Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Arnold Lee Bishop. Arnold served during the Vietnam War.
Arnold joined the military in 1960 and served for 30 years. He served two tours during the Vietnam War. Throughout his years in the Army, Arnold held many positions. The duty he cherished the most, though quite sobering, was escorting the bodies of those killed in action in Vietnam back home. He would present the flag at the end of the memorial service to a loved one of the soldier. For his service, Arnold received many awards and commendations including a Bronze Star.
Arnold passed away due to lung cancer in 1997.
We honor your service, Arnold.
