Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Sammie W. Yahola. Sammie served during the Vietnam War.
Sammie served with the 82nd Airborne Division. For his service, he received the Bronze Star with Valor. Sammie is a member of the Muskogee (Creek) Nation in Oklahoma. He is now honored in the National Museum of the American Indian for his accomplishments as a Muskogee Warrior. Of the six people who received this honor, Sammie is the only surviving member.
Thank you for your service, Sammie!
