Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Veteran Dana Roberts. Dana served in a tour in Kuwait and Bahrain from 2012 to 2013.
Dana enlisted April 2011 after talking to a recruiter in New Jersey. She deployed to Kuwait at the end of 2012 as a maintenance management specialist.
During her time, she worked on multiple bases working on IT networks and with various mechanics. While driving between different bases in Kuwait, her and squad narrowly avoided a confrontation after driving into a black-flag area in Bahrain.
After she got out of the Marines, Dana used her Post-9/11 GI Bill to attend Point Park University where she is studying screenwriting.
Thank you for your service, Dana!
