We are excited to announce that VA is coming to Alaska this June to conduct benefits and claims clinics in Anchorage, Palmer, Delta Junction and Fairbanks. All transitioning service members, Veterans and family members are invited to attend! For more information visit https://benefits.va.gov/benefits/alaskan-veterans.asp.
This outreach event is part of our ongoing commitment to build strong partnerships and foster collaboration with all partners—Veterans Service Organization (VSOs), federal, state, county and tribal Veterans groups who share our mission to support Veterans and their families.
VA representatives and VSOs will be onsite to:
- Process claims and/or have Veterans’ existing claims reviewed
- Explain the full array of VA benefits that include, but are not limited to: disability compensation, pension, home loans, education and career counseling
- Give you a flash drive to take home that contains essential information on VA benefits and services
If you plan to file a disability compensation claim, or have one reviewed, please bring your military records, supporting evidence and documents so VA representatives can better assist you. You can also visit the Benefits and Claims Clinic on the day of the event as a walk-in.
VA cares and wants to honor your service by helping you get the most from the benefits and services you earned. We hope to see you there.
