Tomorrow marks 78 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor. Of the 16 Million Americans who served our country in World War II, fewer than 400,000 are alive today. To the World War II Veterans still with us and the many who have passed, thank you for your service. Graphic by Jeff Pace, VA Central Office.

Congratulations to Army Veteran Robert Brower for receiving his high school diploma during a small ceremony at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. While stationed overseas, Brower went through the Department of Defense Activity High School to earn his remaining credits for his high school diploma. He never received his actual diploma though, so through the persistence of his care team they were able to contact the school district and receive an official diploma. Great job, Mr. Brower! The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) police force took time out to help kids in need with their “Fill the Cruiser” campaign. Every toy will be donated to Toys for Tots, a program run by the United States Marines Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. Thank you to the CAVHS police force for helping bring joy to these children who will receive the gifts!
