The New England Healing Sports Association (NEHSA) brought the White River Junction Veterans a sense of accomplishment and independence throughout this ski season. The VA Caribbean Healthcare System welcomed Dan Massa, Dr. Antonio Renta, and Dr. Glenda Gonzalez to share important information with Veterans and their families. They appeared as guests on WUNO, a News Talk Information radio station for the Puerto Rico area. Massa shared the importance of applying for VA benefits and the difference between compensation & pension. Dr. Renta gave an open invitation to Cardi Day on March 15 at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum. Another successful MOVE story in Alaska! Veteran Lisa Scroggs lost 33 pounds using the VA’s MOVE program. She says the change in eating habits and the increase in exercise has been life-changing. The Little Rock Vet Center welcomed staff and guests to an open house at their new location at 10800 Financial Centre Parkway, Suite 175 in Little Rock, Ark. Vet Centers are community-based counseling centers that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including readjustment counseling for Veterans and active duty service members. I am Not Invisible photo shoot for women Veterans at Butler VA.

On Saturday, February 29, 2020, nearly 70 Women Veterans participated in the “I Am Not Invisible” photo shoot event at the Butler VA Health Care System. Puerto Rico Veterans visited the Adaptive Sports Clinic during the bi-weekly gathering in Bayamon, cycling Lineal Park. Some of the Vets are new recipients of new adapted bikes provided by VA after they have engaged 6 months to a 1 year in the program.
