What do I need to do in order to shop at Buckley PX?
Thank you,
David R. Herrera
The vcs at my va doesn’t carry much in the way of goods and products for WOMEN VETERANS. Does the online store have products for women veterans, other than make-up. Does the online store carry women’s’ underwear? The vcs at my va does not. Their excuse for not having things I am looking for is that they have to take whatever is sent to them from Houston or wherever. This is b___. We don’t need half the tiny aisles filled with children’s toys and games, and they also discriminate against my branch of the service by not carrying those products with the excuse that they don’t sell. When I worked in retail I ordered only what was needed, nobody just sent me whatever they felt like.
SW – I fully agree locations do not have much to offer women, and it is no excuse. I live in Portland, Maine and there’s not even an exchange in the state. With my full VA disability, the only option is a small store at the Coast Guard station across the river. Women serve at that station.
SW,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know your concerns about the availability of women’s items and certain military items.
Merchandise is distributed to all canteens based on several factors such as availability and sales volume. We also are working to enhance our systems to track selling by Military Branch and location so we can do a better job of distributions. We appreciate your patience as we work through the process.
While options in-store at your local canteen may be limited, our online shop carries and expanded selection of women’s apparel and military items.
