PeggyLee Wright wanted to join the military because her father also served for 30 years. He instilled the values of honor and commitment in her and her brothers, both of whom also went on to serve in the military.
During the time Wright served, she acted as the command and control program manager with the 82nd Airborne Division. She was responsible for establishing complex communication networks across sea, land and air between thousands of warfighters. She also served as a director of logistics at Soto Cano Airbase in Central Honduras. There, she managed and executed a budget of over $200 million. Furthermore, she served as a headquarters and headquarters company commander for the Army Logistics Management College, where she was in charge of the college’s administration and management team. Wright was also the lead facilitator for all Equal Opportunity and Consideration of Others programs at the battalion and brigade level.
Since her service, Wright has started The Company You Keep. The company is a woman and Veteran-owned small business that specializes in organizational leadership, business development, and program management. She is also active in several non-profit organizations within Huntsville, including being a member of the board for Huntsville’s Special Operations Forces Network.
She also participates as a small group mentor for the Flagship Program at Leadership Greater Huntsville, a program chair for Leadership Greater Huntsville’s Management Academy, and a mentor for the individual professional mentor/mentee program. Wright is the incoming president of the executive board for Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre and Academy. She currently resides in Huntsville, Alabama, with her husband and four children.
