    Came home on emergency leave from Germany in Sept 1969. I am home looking for my sister and brother, I go to the house in the back of my mothers home I knock on the door this girl comes to door I ask her if she seen my siblings she tells me that my brother is with her brother somewhere and has no Idea where my sister is. I said thank you walked back down the steps . and thought what a nice girl turned back around back up the steps and went up to her gave her a kiss and asked her name and from then on I guess it was a sign of love we meet she was 15 and I am 18..went out on dates while home wrote each other then reassigned to Fort Hood Fort Lee and Atlanta Army Depot Got engaged to her in 1970 before going to Vietnam Oct 1971 I bring a soldier back home for burial. We were married called my Captain ship to shore radio and all we heard was James who and the “Sam hell” said you was to go home and get married now get your ass back in the bush At no time he never said over…LOL I hung phone up and had a wedding, Went back that Saturday No honeymoon here, Came home raised a family, And still been kissing and hugging to this day. She has been by myside for 3 Wars of Vietnam, Desert Storm/Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom What more could a man ask for in life A true love for over 50 years our weeding anniversary is October 19 2021 and I am still in love with her, Goes to show you being polite will last forever with LOVE..

    I am my husband’s wifee and taking care of him for the last 23 years,. Him being a quadriplegic and wheelchair bound due to a medical malpractice surgery in the old Walter Reed 1995. For many years, he has been mine and others social butterfly. Wherever he showed up, there was not a dull moment to find. Sadly, speech was taken from him last year, due to cancer. But my Schatzi fought hard, and after two major 6 hour surgeries and being all by himself in Covid-19 lock down. I was able to pick him up and bring him home June 2020. Ever since he is in lock down being in the highest risk group. Lowe’s got to know us very well. The only place without many people and wide shelf ways. As also the VA’s Viera, VA Lake Nona clinic/hospital and Cafeterias and VCS too. Without them, my Schatz would not have survived the housebound lock down, being so used to interact with people. Especially now, that he can’t call his card friends, football buddies, or basketball buddies, or just friends and family member’s not having a voice. You don’t know what you got till you lost it. He has a tablet speech app. But writing is in snail pace, due to him being quadriplegic. But we try to stay upbeat and I know, should we been chosen. It would mean a lot to him being able to surprise me with a Valentines gift. Even so, I somewhat know what it could be, but can’t be a 100% sure. So thank you for your consideration.
