For Suicide Prevention Month this September, VA’s Suicide Prevention program co-hosted a Twitter chat with Got Your 6 to discuss both organizations’ initiatives and how individuals can help prevent suicide in their communities. Participants followed along and submitted questions, which VA and Got Your 6 directly responded to using the hashtag #BeThere4Veterans.
Some of the topics discussed included:
Resources for Veterans and their supporters
Implications of suicide data reports recently released by VA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Suicide Prevention Month and ways to get involved
Got Your 6’s work
