CONGRATS you should be very proud of your accomplishments
I happened to find this GOLD MINE “Related Posts.” I am a retired NAVY Captain with over 31 years of duty. I kept myself glued to my iPad reading all the related posts available. I was amazed at the sailors and soldier I read about. Each one brought water to my eyes. My Dad was a WWII vet., long passed, but these vets brought back many memories. I was on active duty at the beginning of Women going to sea. At the time I was commanding Seventh Fleet’s Flag Ship, USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC-19). Then my follow on command as COMMANDER AMPHIBIOUS SQUADRON ONE, there again I was proud of the women we had in our squadron, especially considering we were in the first echelons of DESERT SHIELD/STORM Jan-Aug 1991. I look back on the Engineman I read about, she would have been a prefect fit on BLUE RIDGE with the all the numbers of boats, large Diesel engines to work on. Also, BLUE RIDGE would have been a perfect home for SCPO Ana ……….., I am sorry I lost here last name, but I remember she had a very distinguished career.
Now that I have found this nugget, I will mine I regularly. That you so much for you service.
