We’ve weathered quite a year with the pandemic, where it’s taken all we could muster to stay healthy and protect our loved ones. Now, as things slowly return to normal, it’s time to focus on financial “health.” Knowing where to begin can be a hurdle for some. That’s why VA is working with Prudential Financial to offer the monthly Wellness Wednesday Financial Education series to Veterans, transitioning service members and their families at no cost. The series occurs on the third Wednesday of every month.
The next Wellness Wednesday Financial Education seminar,“Basics of Savings and Investing,” is on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Areas of discussion will include different ways to save money in today’s economy, as well as ways to invest your money for the future.
This live class gives you the opportunity to ask qualified financial counselors your financial questions.
There are two sessions available:
1 – 2 p.m. Eastern Time
1 – 2 p.m. Pacific Time

Previous Wellness Wednesday seminars have included budgeting and the importance of building an emergency savings fund, as well as seven financial tips for life. Participants rated their overall satisfaction, including seminar content, delivery, and pace, over 90%.
Participants also have access to the Financial Wellness Center, a digital portal focused on learning, with more than 100 short educational articles and interactive tools that include financial self-assessment, budgeting and student loan assistance and counseling.
