April is Financial Literacy Awareness Month. An important part of financial planning is life insurance, which VA offers through a variety of programs to Veterans, Service members, and their families.

VBA is in the middle of an awareness campaign to ensure Veterans, their families, caregivers or survivors know about the expanded care and benefits for Veterans affected by toxic exposure, and to encourage them to file a claim.

Starting April 1st, transitioning service members applying for disability compensation through Benefits Delivery at Discharge or Integrated Disability Evaluation System will be required to complete and submit the Part A Self-Assessment of a new Separation Health Assessment.
