The Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service has a new pilot program to help Veterans take control of their careers.

On Labor Day, we honor America’s workers and all they have achieved. At the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS), it is our honor to serve and support you as you transition to the next stages of your working life.

The U.S. Department of Labor is now accepting applications for the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award, presented annually to employers that meet rigorous criteria around recruiting, employing and retaining America’s military Veterans. Application deadline is April 30, 2021.

VA and the U.S. Department of Labor are joining forces to help Veterans who are facing homelessness secure and maintain employment.

VETS prepares Veterans, Service members and spouses for meaningful careers. It provides eligible participants with resources and expertise, protects their employment rights and promotes their employment opportunities.

The National Resource directory has more than 14,000 vetted resources available for Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.

The U.S. Department of Labor today awarded 427 employers from around the nation for recruiting, employing and retaining America’s veterans.

The Department of Labor is currently accepting applications for the beta phase of the HIRE Vets Medallion Program to recognize employers who hire and retain Veterans as employees.

The Veteran-related figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicate higher unemployment for Iraq and Afghanistan Vets compared to other generations.
