Army Veteran Michael Peterson from Richmond VA Medical Center and nine other Veterans turned their military experiences into songs at a workshop in Nashville presented by nonprofit Operation Song.

Operation Song empowers Veterans to tell their stories through songwriting.

This August 26–29, nearly 2,000 U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) care teams, leaders and allies, along with subject matter experts from across the country, will convene at the 2019 VA/DoD Suicide Prevention Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
