Diffusion of Excellence is thrilled to announce the 2022 VHA Shark Tank Competition Finalists. This is the eighth annual iteration of Shark Tank, which helps VA employees spread their work to impact even more Veteran lives.
This year, 15 Finalists were selected from 286 applicants and they will each pitch their innovations live at the VHA Shark Tank Competition during the 2022 Innovation Experience (iEX) October 27.
VA medical center and VA network director Sharks will sink their teeth into Finalist Practices and bid resources for a chance to implement the practice at their facilities.
At iEX, the 15 Finalists will have three minutes to pitch their practice—with Veterans and the health care industry watching—and then find out if their innovations have been selected as Promising Practices.
Ten Promising Practices will choose a Shark bid of their choice from a selection of bids after they deliver their pitch. These winners and their Shark will continue to work with Diffusion of Excellence to replicate their Practice at the new site, further spreading innovation and helping change Veteran care for the better.

Awesome! I am seeing more and more of these competitions, such as the Project Day Break competition to reduce veteran suicide. These types of competitions serve a great purpose while giving the contestants the opportunity to present their ideas.
